Hoboken Middle School Unveils Exciting New Initiatives for the 24-25 School Year
Hoboken, NJ – Hoboken Middle School is excited to announce a range of new initiatives designed to enhance student engagement and create a vibrant school community for the 2024-2025 academic year. These initiatives include the launch of the Tiger Advisory Program for Grades 6, 7, and 8, a diverse lineup of after-school clubs, and an expansive interscholastic sports program.
Tiger Advisory Program
This year, Hoboken Middle School introduces the Tiger Advisory Program, designed to foster social-emotional growth and a sense of community among students in Grades 6, 7, and 8. Through bi-monthly meetings in their Tiger Advisory Dens led by school staff, students will explore values such as perseverance, respect, integrity, dedication, and excellence. The program also includes quarterly Tiger Pride assemblies and activities facilitated by school counselors and administrators to support students as they navigate through their middle school experience.

In addition to these clubs, Hoboken Middle School provides academic support through ELA/SS Homework Help & Learning Labs and Math/Science Homework Help & Learning Labs. These clubs and academic programs aim to encourage creativity, teamwork, and leadership while offering students the opportunity to develop new skills, explore their passions, and build lasting friendships.
New Interscholastic Sports Program
Hoboken Middle School is also introducing an extensive interscholastic sports program for the 2024-2025 school year. This program will provide students with the chance to compete against other middle schools in Bergen and Hudson Counties. The sports offerings include:
- Fall: Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Co-Ed Cross Country, and Girls Volleyball.
- Winter: Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Co-Ed Swimming, Co-Ed Wrestling, and Cheerleading.
- Spring: Baseball, Softball, and Co-Ed Track.
The sports program focuses on inclusivity, physical fitness, and sportsmanship, allowing student-athletes to develop discipline, confidence, and school pride.
